Tabo Monastery, founded in 996 AD, is one of the oldest continuously operating Buddhist monasteries in India. Due to its priceless murals and frescoes, it is often called the “Ajanta of the Himalayas.”

Located in the remote Spiti Valley of Himachal Pradesh, Tabo is a major center of Buddhist learning and meditation.
