Itinerary
Upon arrival at Imphal Airport, our representative will greet you and assist with your hotel transfer. After check-in and some relaxation, begin your journey by visiting Kangla Fort, an ancient royal palace that holds significant historical and cultural importance in Manipur. Next, explore Ima Keithel, Asia’s largest all-women market, where you can shop for traditional handloom, handicrafts, and local products. Later, visit the Shri Govindajee Temple, a beautiful Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Krishna. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Imphal.
Start your day with breakfast at the hotel before heading to the breathtaking Loktak Lake, the largest freshwater lake in Northeast India, known for its floating islands called Phumdis. Enjoy a boat ride and soak in the serene surroundings. From there, proceed to Keibul Lamjao National Park, the world’s only floating national park, home to the rare and endangered Sangai deer, the state animal of Manipur. Later, visit the INA Memorial at Moirang, a historical site where the Indian National Army first hoisted the Indian flag. Return to Imphal and spend the night at your hotel.
After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Moreh, a border town located on the Indo-Myanmar frontier. Explore Namphalong Market on the Myanmar side (passport required), where you can shop for Burmese goods, souvenirs, and local delicacies. On your way back to Imphal, visit the Imphal War Cemetery, a solemn site that honors the soldiers who fought in World War II. Spend the evening at leisure, enjoying local shopping or exploring Manipuri cuisine before returning to the hotel for an overnight stay.
On your final day, enjoy breakfast and check out from the hotel. If time permits, visit some local shops to pick up souvenirs such as handwoven textiles and Manipuri handicrafts. Our representative will then drop you at Imphal Airport for your onward journey, marking the end of a memorable trip to Manipur.
